A reverse cell call up lookup is a searchable directory of cell phone numbers made accessible online. A beneficial and effective source is Locate Mobile Phone, which is a reverse look up cell telephone service site which will determine if the number you have queried is either a cell phone or a landline number.

Have you ever wanted to block your cell phone number from a caller ID? It's really pretty simple to do. There may be several reasons you want to block your number. Maybe you just want absolute privacy, or maybe there is a specific person you want to call without them knowing it's you. Whatever the case may be, in this article I will teach you how to permanently and temporarily block your cell phone number from caller ID.

Permanently Block Your Cell Phone Number: Now bear in mind that doing this will not allow anyone to see your number on a caller ID. If for some reason you want your number to be visible, you will have to dial *82 before making your call. Okay, You will have to call your service provider's customer service department. You should be able to do this by dialing 611 on your cell phone. If for some reason 611 does not direct you to your customer service department, you should be able to easily look up the number online or call 411. When you reach a customer service representative tell them that would like a “line block.” From there, the customer service rep should be able to take care of it for you.

Temporarily Block Your Cell Phone Number: This is one of the oldest tricks in the book, but I thought I would still put it in this how-to article just in case you don't know how to do it. This is perfect for calling back mysterious numbers on your caller ID. Now, I should warn you that this will not block your number from emergency and toll free numbers. All you have to do is dial *67 before you place your call. That's it. If you have any doubts that this works, I would suggest testing it by calling another phone in your house or one of your friends.

As you can see, blocking your number is fairly simple. I should also let you know that with the *67 block, your number will appear as “restricted” thus preventing the person you call from calling you back. If they try to call you back by pressing “send” on the restricted number, it will tell them that the call cannot be completed because the number is invalid. I will also warn you, that if you are thinking of using either of these techniques for making prank or illegal phone calls, I cannot guarantee that authorities will not be able to trace the call if they need to.
